Welcome everybody to the second part of my blog. I hope you enjoy this bit because I hope it will be the best part for this bit of my blog.
First of all...who is in my team?
Conrad - my best friend (in my team).
Dante...a very good sport.
Yong Woo - our best guy (he's got heaps of spirit and never gives up).
Isaac - the guy who thought I should be player of the day. (Go him and Conrad)!
Destiny - very smart. Best defender and the only girl in my team.
Tak Djin (spelling?) - a great all-round player.
Tom Fisher and Amon...two solid players.
Our coach Ben - we couldn't have a better coach (except for my dad who isn't our coach but helps me out anyway). Marcus - he manages the team and is really nice.
Because we haven't played for ages because of the weather, there were lots of 'Player of the Day' awards to hand out today and we all got one (although Yong Woo got a trophy). Here is what our team manager said about us:
Young Woo - Player of the day, trophy holder - AMAZING goal keeping.
Conrad - balls skills coming along nicely Conrad.
Dante - stirling effort in defense. Known injuries: Whacked on the nose.
Houston - welcome return to first-class football: hungry for the ball. Known injuries: whacked in the eye.
Destiny - busy busy busy hassling the oppostion. Known injuries: twisted ankle.
Teikjin - never stopped moving, carries ball forward
Tommy - interception of passes. Enthusiasm all over.
Known injuries - whacked in the eye.
Isaak - dribbling the ball up, shots on goal. Known injuries: kicked in back of leg meanie.
Amon - good goal-keeping. whack to head, I think.
THE GAMENow I will tell you were I played it (its inside but I will tell you about it super soon). Well it was in the Marsden school/college. Man was it warm in there, because it outside it was freezing. That is why everybody in the picture of my team looks so cold.
Out team played the Comets and a silly blue team (the cheated heaps!! - not mentioning names). The Comets were AWESOME!! I have lots of friends in that team and they are really good and hardly anyone has beaten them - but we nearly did in our first game today.
My team is called Karori City - but we are going to try and change it to the Soccer Penguins.
